River Shannon cruiser escapes to sea and ends up on French canals

Welcome to some vintage vlog footage, in 2008 we sailed our river Shannon cruiser out through Limerick and into the sea beyond. Into the Atlantic, we had no sea experience and with little more that an RYA coastal Skipper’s course

under my belt we headed out in search of the French canals.

Most of the footage was filmed before the word vlog was even invented and believe it or not it was filmed on a very modern (for the time!) camcorder. The poor video quality shows how much things have progressed in the last decade.

This is the first video in a series that I am releasing over the winter (2017-2018) When I release the second video I will put them into a playlist to make viewing easier.
