In this River Shannon boating trip, we head upriver through Tarmonbarry, Rooskey and on to Dromod. We pass under two lifting bridges as well as the most dangerous bridge on this river Shannon boating adventure.
Inland Waterways Boating to Killeens Bar – Pub
The Irish Inland waterways are probably the best cruising ground in the world, and certainly the best inland waterways in Europe. Even in this awful wet weather. But we try to show the river experience as it is, and sometimes our inland waterways can get quite a bit of rain. But without rain, we would not have these magnificent rivers and lakes. We end up in Killeen’s Bar or Pub if you prefer, Sadly Killeen’s will be closing for good very soon. What a pity that is. Hope you enjoy the video.
What we thought of Lough Derg
We spent most of the 2019 season boating on Lough Dreg, so here’s what we thought of Lough Derg, what we learned from our time there and a few tips we’d like to pass on to you.
Lough Derg is a large lake so it’s worth doing a bit of research before you head out on it in a boat. I hope this short video will be of some help to you and also to help make your holiday a little more enjoyable.
