Irish waterways river cruise to Shannonbridge to see some pubs
A late autumn cruise down the Ireland’s favourite waterway the river Shannon to the town of Shannonbridge where we check out the town and a few good pubs and a few oddities too.
Shannonbridge is famous for its fort. Now a well renowned restaurant the fort was originally built to defend against the threat of a Nepolonic invasion. Like all the Nepolionic defences built in Ireland at the time they never witnessed an angry shot.
We would have been remiss if we didn’t visit the good pubs in Shannonbridge. Both Lukers & Killeen’s are great pubs and you should be assured of good food and craic in both.
Killeen’s bar have a FaceBook page https://www.facebook.com/Killeens-Bar-Shannonbridge-192979190720313/
And Lukers bar also have a FaceBook page. https://www.facebook.com/LukersBarShannonbridge/
